Immortal Bird Update: TV & Radio Interviews, Readings, Prizes
There has been a flurry of activity surrounding Immortal Bird in the past month, with the New York Review of Books essay by Jerome Groopman attracting significant attention from diverse quarters.
A brief update:
Last week I recorded a half hour interview with Richard Heffner on The Open Mind. It will be broadcast in the coming weeks. I will post the date and time once I have it.
Tomorrow Friday June 1 at 3:45 pm I will be interviewed for fifteen minutes by Ira Flatow on Science Friday on WNYC-93.9 FM.
Next Tuesday June 5 at 6 pm I will do a reading from Immortal Bird as part of the Booksmith Author Reading Series at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, Mass.
On Friday June 8, 5:30-7:30 we will award the Damon Weber Theatre Prize at Brooklyn Technical High School to a student who excels in acting, directing or writing for the theatre.
Thank you for the beautiful letters which keep coming. I am especially gratified by members of the medical profession who have taken the book to heart and are helping to spread the word.
